That is the right step:
When Linden Lab updated its Terms of Service in August, the new Terms included the controversial Section 2.3, which claims a broad license over content uploaded to Secont Life. SL content creators have responded with outrage, frustration, and even refusal to allow their works to remain in SL.
On Saturday, October 19 at 10 am SLT at the Justitia Virtual Legal Resource Village, a panel of IP attorneys will discuss the new ToS. We'll talk about what the terms really mean, how they affect content creators and SL users, and what has changed. We'll have a long question-and-answer session and talk about your rights under the terms and what the future looks like.
We understand that this event may be popular, and we may reach the maximum capacity for our sim. Due to the interest in this topic, we will try to make sure the event will be recorded, and depending on demand, we are willing to hold another panel later this month if we need to.
Please come to the Justitia Virtual Legal Resource Village this Saturday at 10. We look forward to seeing you!
I hope that event will help for less emotional discussions and more clarification about the topic.
