The Eternal Hieronymus Bosch

Looks as if life does not want to see me inworld that much.  After some time consuming changes in my RL my computer decided to break. I spent many hours in trials of fixing them, but nothing helped. This is my very first post with the new computer which has neat graphics.

Byrnedarkly Cazalet is one of the interesting gallerists in Second Life as she always brings artists inworld to her Tart gallery, which never would have been seen here otherwise. Her focus is on artists which concentrate on female portraits in different modern styles. Now and then they appear sexist to me, but usually I am amazed. Another interesting topic are her monthly Kamera Club events, which always attract a bunch of interesting people taking photos and sharing them at Flickr.

The Setting for the last event was very special. A tribute to the famous Dutch Renaissance painter  Hieronymus Bosch. His works are timeless scaring and inspire artists for more than 500 years now.

The Bosch-Setting offers a lot of poses and invites the vistors to become part of the artwork. The poses are partly created by the pose-designer team NANTRA especially for this event and only available here.

The events of the Cursed team are always special to me because of the outstanding sim design. Life is a battle as to be proved here^^ 

The battle was obviously especially for the designers as many has not been done by the opening. I am not surprised as maybe the flood of events in Second Life increased to much. Therefore you must not hurry to check the sales (with a charity part in favor of the National Kidney Foundation http://www.kidney.org/).

This event is not only special because of the great design. It has a creative blogger group too. The best is to follow the posts on Flickr to find the backlinks to the blogs.

Visiting the Sailor

The last day of 24squared and I have to hurry to present this male oufit by Bravura. It comes in 3 different colors and has a maritime touch. There fore we made Scatterheart a sailor and I visited him in his house at the seaside ;)

Up To The Sky - Updated with Machinima

Betty Tureaud is known for her fun installations in bright colors.

"My Space" offers a flight by rocket and then by UFO (if you are fast enough to catch one of them. The UFO flies throough a typical "Betty-Universe!

At the opening event I had time to explore the build and want to share some nice features. After the first rocket flight I caught  an Ufo that brought me in one flight up to the stage level. But you should have a look for this green square:

The green frame is a TP that brings you from level to level upwards. Each level has different features and is worth to be explored. And the small pyramid has a gift for you on click: The Rocket Hat.

Catlin Tobias had a hard time when she took  this photo with the hat for "Art in Hats". Wear the hat and find out for yourself. And never, I repeat NEVER click the hat ;)

Last but not least don't forget to open the music stream. The tunes has been composed by Ultraviolet Alter especially for this installation.

Amazed in Space

If there is a kind of art in Second Life that amazes me most, it is particle art. There is only a handful of artists who do shows and one of them is Kikiri Tuqiri. She did an amazing show at my wedding in the Lefevre Mansion. If you missed it, see photos and machinima in this post: The Wedding

Last Sunday Kikiri presented her latest show "Kikiri's Adventures in SPACE".

Kikiri plays with many different settings from emotional and touching to funny. The scenes are designed to match the chosen songs which are all related to the theme and are ending with them.

The result is an entertaining show which got a lot appreciation and applause from the huge audience.

I really recommend to join one her shows, especially when you never have seen a particle show. To be updated about show times you may send an IM to Kikiri Tuqiri and she will be happy to add you and to send note cards with invitations. Or you bookmark her schedule website.

KAGAMI - The Game

Usually I log in to Second Life for working: blogging, organizing, supporting, curating, meetings and stuff. I cherish the hours when I take the time to play in SL as today.

Kagami is an excellent made mystical game. At the entrance you take a HUD and choose your language.

What is the story about? The latest rumour in the school was: "Hey, you know what? At midnight, put two mirrors facing each other. Then you can see your future spouse in the mirror!" Most stayed suspicious, but Kasumi does not come back the next day to school. What happened to her? Did she try a mirror?

You as her friend decide to go after it and while researching you are wrapped up in a mystical and melancholic storyline in the world between life and death.

What is in the mirror?

It took me about 3 hours to pass through part I and II and I enjoyed it. It is not too hard for unexperienced gamers like me and I love the story. The HUD allows to come back anythime and to go back to the place where you stopped.

Don't forget to donate and to check the nice mall to buy something. Events like this should be supported!

Taka no Sakura

Sayouri Yuhara and Sakiko Shilling are running this Japanese themed sim with breahttaking landscape.

Here is really a lot to explore. It feels like holiday. You will wander up and down the mountains.
