Introspection
The lines between art and building are thin, if they even exist. The rebuild of the beautiful shopping mall Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II in Milan impressed me a lot and I blogged it here. Now it hosts an artwork by Dragola Demonge, who is known as builder. The installation represents us in the metaverse, seen by the huge poseball in the center. Dragola told me about the work: "In my work emotions is the first. The second is the travel...secondlife is a dream. You can do....realize your dreams in secondlife...it's fantastic! There is no limit to imaginations."
Seeing the obviously not only happy statues I had the smart comment of a friend in mind. He said about our emotions in Second Life, that we are so enthusiastic, vulnerable and fast hurt because our mind flies bare and unprotected through the metaverse.
The work is displayed for 2 weeks.
