A Tribute to Vivienne Westwood

Vivienne Westwood is one of the most influentional fashion designers of the last decades. She made Punk style to fashion, but was always a political person too.

SebastianDeLorence and Aphrodite Brianna have created an exhibit about Vivienne Westwood with text and photos. I found it well done and interesting.

I especially like this quote by Vivienne Westwood: "The only reason I am in fashion is to destroy 'conformity'. Nothing's interesting to me, unless it's got that element." Even here in Second Life where everything is possible so many avatars prefer conformity, unless here are no boundaries of money or 'no-mod-shapes' ;)  I would love to say this to all the jeans-wearers with their full body tattoos as well as to all the 'fashion-blogger-ducks" with their ridicoulos wide hips and drawn-down mouths.
