Fuschia goes Mesh

Fuschia Nightfire impresses me again and again with her versatility. And everything she does is done brilliant. Whether RL drawings or paintings, murals and in SL 3D works and machinima. No wonder that she won many prizes. She can make even clothing and her avatar is always worth a closer look.
So to me it was clear that she also will work with mesh. These horses are her first mesh works. She has combined them in an interesting way with other techniques. Fantastically beautiful is as well the glass piano.

Open only until 9 April!

Sneak Preview - Blue Tsuki: Adagio

It's time for new installations at Split Screen. I do not know yet when it will open officially, but I know that Blue Tsuki already has finished his installation. And I had not immediately recognized the work as done by him. "No chairs :))" he said, laughing
But with a wonderful meditative, Mediterranean flair. The local sounds from the vases are giving a dreamy ambience. I especially liked the play of colors in the water movements.
Blue Tsuki commented: „I wanted to create a piece that was a more passive environment, one that did not have my usual figurative references and animations.”

The Gates of Hell

Auguste Rodin worked for 37 years until his death on a bronze sculpture, "La porte de l'enfer" (The Gates of Hell). Over 300 figures represent human passions and intrigues. After his death was a bronze sculpture was made after the model and is today on display in Paris.
The SL replica of this door is no life work of Freeloops Zanzibar, but 3896 prims ar not that fast assembled. The work is highly detailed and worth seeing.

Only a few days on display! Come and have a look!

Bryn's Giants

The LEA Avatar Games last year has been a good success will have a sequel this year. It has been built by Bryn Oh on 2 sims. The audience sim stays and the contestant’s sim will be redesigned but got in the meantime a new face.

Do you see the white spot on the cube? That's me
It is a huge room with 2 persons. They are that huge that I felt like an ant. But as always with Bryn's works the built is as well incredibly subtle and has as well delicate structures.

There is a lot to discover. Enjoy!
The work will be inworld for about 1 month.
After that it will be time for the next LEA Avatar Games.

The Right Place for a Spring Tour - Marathon Caye

It's spring - you want to do something and to get out. Something like this sim is just perfect: A beautiful landscape that reminds me of Norway, animals and even riding horses
Buildings with gaming tables, cozy sitting areas and beautiful places for romantic moments. Alone that would be worth more than one visit.
But the highlights for me were the giant slides and mountain climbing. Just click on the ropes and jump in the pose ball. A real mountain tour!
You can walk around on the Sim or use the TP system hidden in tree stumps.

The Home of an Artist

When I visited the full sim work of Haveit Neox, Second Libations I wrote that he must be an avid, if not obsessive builder.
Stylecard here
I met him recently and got the idea of visiting his home sim ACC Alpha. And I'm overwhelmed. I have spent hours there and still have not seen everything
Stylecard here
A real insider's tip for all who like exploring beautiful places.

Terracotta Army

Not only RL there are tourist spots, but also in SL. And Second Life has one more now. A very special RL spot is now as well in SL: The Terracotta Army. The first emperor of China built about 2,000 years ago his own incredibly expensive graveyard.
The army belongs to the outer facility and was discovered in the 70's of the last century by a farmer who was working in the fields. They were painted in bright colors. But as soon as they get in contact with the air the colors are falling apart. For this reason, most are still buried until the scientists invent a method of preservation. And the excavated are to be seen in the well-known terracotta color.
Stylecard here
The terracotta soldiers SL are just like in RL relatively authentic in their cave. Not to be missed!

London Mayfair in Mesh

Dear reader, if you reach a sim and it looks like this:
Mesh non enabled
...it is not the result of an artist who went nuts, but it is the sign of new times dawning  in Second Life. This great sim is done completely in mesh.
Mesh Viewer
It is a replica of London's exclusive Mayfair district with stunningly realistic textures. The sim is home to the fashion of Celoe and Montissu. And it also shows the advantage of mesh
The old shop of Montissu was on a sim with a lot of sculpts and I always had bad lag. Mesh rez much faster. Mayfair SL is a Mecca for fashionistas and SL photographers.
